Summer field days backdrop for outside learning

Much summer learning happens outside during intensive recreational activities. Residential and PBIS staff plan for these fun days in advance of each 18-hour field day! Designed to relieve a youth’s stress and anxiety they capitalize on strengths and promote reasoning and decision making abilities.

Choice is the watchword and planning quiet, reflective activities as well as competitive action sports ensures there is something for everyone and makes it fun for youth to decide for themselves!! The backdrop for the day is lively music, good food barbecued outdoors and an ever-present complement of staff watching acrefully to make sure youth were well-hydrated and protected from the sun!

The first two summer field days were held on June 21st and 25th.
