LaSalle wins FBLA honors
On February 6th, two students represented LaSalle School at the Future Business Leaders of America District 4 Spring Conference. Future Business Leaders of America is one of the largest international student business leadership organizations serving nearly a quarter of a million students world wide. For the past 4 years, LaSalle has had a small but dedicated group of students serving in our local chapter. LaSalle youth – Elijaha and Jordan – competed among top scholars from more than 15 schools throughout the capital region.
Elijaha competed in the Public Speaking Performance event. For this event, he was tasked with creating a speech based on his experiences and the goals of FBLA. Elijaha then delivered his speech in front of a panel of business professionals. We are very excited to announce that Elijaha took 4th place in his event.
Jordan competed in the Client Service Performance Event. In this role play event, the student is provided with a real life business related situation in which a client is dissatisfied with the service they have received from a particular business. The student has only 10 minutes to formulate a response that will meet the client’s needs, preserve the integrity of their business and rectify the situation. We are proud to announce that Jordan placed 6th in this event.
FBLA events tend to be extremely competitive and everyone at LaSalle is very impressed at the effort that these two young men put forth. Please join us to congratulate both of these young men in their accomplishments!
