Harvest time at LaSalle
The entire LaSalle community officially ushered the Fall season in on October 31st with a day-long Harvest Fest sponsored by our PBIS team! Turn in any direction and you observed youth eating doughnuts, participating in field games and arts and craft activities. LaSalle workers assisted to facilitate games inside and outdoors including bingo, basketball, tug-of-war, chess and a pumpkin hoop toss! Members of the Albany Fire and Police Departments were also on hand to staff a community services booth. Of course, no Fall celebration would be complete without making (and enjoying!) caramel apples and Halloween candy treats. And let’s not forget to mention the final outdoor cookout before the weather turns colder, the snow flies and Winter arrives. PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) evidence-based tools and ideas are used to improve and encourage a youth’s positive behavior in and out of the classroom setting.
