Future City competition more than a contest for LaSalle kids
On Saturday, January 10th, five LaSalle boys participated in the 2015 Future City competition typically held during National Engineer’s Week. The team took home honors for the best air transportation design. Their ‘flying saucer’ airport was prominently featured on Time Warner Cable Newschannel 9 along with a number of other academic projects from around the Capital Region. The students presented their model and defended its usefulness in our nation’s continuing exploration of travel and space to the judges. In addition to their technique and presentation, visitors to the display were impressed by the compassion each of these technology students had for one another and their work.
